What was the name of this Meteor Shower? ?

About 10 years ago or so there was this huge meteor shower. I was living in Oakland at the time and I remember this happening when I was about 4 or 5. Does anyone know what I'm talking about. I think it was supposed to happen about once every 100 years. I'm not sure. If you think you know what it was, when will it happen again?! That was so awesome!
