How to connect a jbl speaker with 2 wires coming out of a black and red connector into a computer jack?

i want to connect jbl speakers that have two wires coming out the back. one wire is coming out of a red thing and one wire is coming out of a black thing. i want to somehow connect it to my computer through a computer jack like an ipod. Maybe i could cut a headphone wire and connect the jbl wire and the headphone wire ?
